I began my journey in midwifery while pregnant with my first child. After exploring birthing options, I chose the care of Midwives and planned a birth center birth. Shorty after relocating from New York to South Florida I began work as a Birth & Postpartum Doula. As I learned more about Midwifery Care and experienced more hospital births, the distinction was all too clear. I began to seek out holistic birthing options & discovered the community of birth workers, advocates and like-minded mothers.
By 2011 I enrolled at The Florida School of Traditional Midwifery. During this intensive three year academic program & apprenticeship I learned from many midwives and families throughout South Florida. In 2012 I birthed my second baby at home with the loving support of my sister midwives.
As a midwife, I have witnessed over and over again how perfectly normal birth can be. I am blessed to have built connections and long lasting friendships with so many women and families within my community. I am forever grateful to these mothers for creating a space for me to serve and trusting me as a guide and resource.
